🎬BBC South 50 years: Episode 4 Aldaniti. A series of 19 mini-features made by BBC South at Southampton in 2011 to celebrate the station's 50 year history.
Episode 4 Aldaniti. Nobody expected Aldaniti to win the 1981 Grand National. The horse had suffered leg injuries and jockey Bob Champion was recovering from cancer. But win they did and their story inspired a feature film, Champions. Thirty years later Roger Johnson accompanied Bob Champion on a nostalgic visit to trainer Josh Gifford's stables in Findon.

🎬British Movietone - Britain's major tourist sites, all on 3½ acres of land in Bournemouth, that's the model world of 'Tucktonia'. Described as 'the best of Britain in miniature', the displays are not just static, for example, the River Thames flows through at 15ft a minute.

🎬BBC South 50 years: Episode 13 Mesmerised Children. A series of 19 mini-features made by BBC South at Southampton in 2011 to celebrate the station's 50 year history.
Episode 13 Mesmerised Children. One of a series of features which celebrate BBC South's 50 years of broadcasting. In 1979 Emma and Joanna Dunckley would stop and stare at the television at the same time every day, mesmerised by the opening titles of BBC South Today. 31 years later we gave the film to Joanna, to play as a surprise at her sister Emma's wedding.
