MS They alight from car and Prince and lady Diana are welcomed. MS Prince cuts tape to open the Mountbatten Exhibition and then examines scissors to see if they are blunt. MS Royal party out of Exhibition. GV Crowd gathered in gardens. SEQUENCE: Lady Diana and then Prince Charles plant Atlantic Cedar trees. Various shots - Prince and Lady Diana meeting the crowd (Lady Diana is handed flowers and sweets by childre). CU Lady Diana holding a baby which she then hands back to his mother. NB: The Prince and Lady Diana were visiting Broadlands, their first Official Public Engagement so that the Prince could open The Mountbatten Exhibition, a tribute to the late Lord and Lady Mountbatten. The Exhibition was created by Lord Romsey (Mountbatten's Grandson) and Lady Romsey (the former Penelope Eastwood).
