🎬British Movietone - We're going to great pains to make sure the Great Bustard doesn't escape again. Europe's largest bird hasn't bred here since 1806. Now preservationists hope to install six of the birds, from Portugal, in ideally protected conditions on Salisbury Plain.

🎬British Movietone - Spanish Festival organised by the Bournemouth Corporation and various departments of the Spanish Embassy, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade. A 1926 Autogiro is also on display, invented in Spain. With a clip from Movietone News of the autogiro in flight in Spain.

🎬British Movietone - We went down to the Army Railway Centre in Hampshire. And so did over 130 schoolboys. It was an open invitation from the Royal Engineers. "Come and see how we run a railway" - they said. And "just watch how we do it" said the kids.
