08:34 Mrs. G very busy this morning replenishing the nest lining and moving bare twigs. The two chicks appear to be healthy and growing fast: both very active when 'mum' stands up.
09:33* Mrs G gets up and flies off, 2 hawklets vocalising on nest. She returns immediately with a long green fir twig to build up nest and leaves again at 9:36
09:41* MR G. VISITS HAWKLETS AND TAKES HIS PLACE ON NEST DUTY ( for first time I think)
09:43* he attempt to get hawklets to sit under him ( they are not at all perturbed by his prescence). He seems to be keeping an eye out for his Mrs ! ( keeps looking around). He stomps on the nest with a rocking from side to side motion, for a while, his back to camera, the younsters in front of him. He finally manages to settle on hawklets in nest bowl at 9:49.
10:02* Mrs G calls in near distance. She arrives from 12 as Mr G vacates nest in one impressive simultaneous movement.
14:08* F rises quickly as flies toward 4 vocalizing the aggressive/defensive repeated "kah" loudly. Hawklets seen hunkered down and still in nest bowl.
14:11* More of the same vocalization heard in the distance.
14:13* F arrives from 9 with small branch of greenery, places on nest edge and resumes I/B facing 11. Some nest adjustments from brooding posture.
17:15 Mrs G was away from the nest from 16:38 until 17:15 this afternoon. Chicks had a little spat between them and a few yawns and each had an episode of projectile pooing!
17:55 'Home Alone' chicks. Mrs. G left the nest and as yet not returned. Chicks lying low, cuddled into each other with the odd 'cheep','cheep' now and again.
18:57* 'Mum' back with food and both chicks getting a good share. Great!!!!
