09:38* A single chick sticks its head out for 12mins.

10:46* Mrs G arranges the nest. Settles back down at 10:48.

11:26* Mrs G leaves the nest, three little heads bob around. Within 2 minutes she's back with some nesting material.

12:56* Mr G arrives, possibly with a food delivery. Mrs. G feeding ALL chicks. Mr G drops by again at 12:59. The forth egg appears to be still intact in the background.

13:18* With lunch over, they all settle down.

15:18* Mrs G leaves the nest, returns at 15:22 with food. After only a couple of minutes she flies off. 15:26 she returns with bedding and settles down.

17:06* Mrs.G having a good preen, tidying up the nest and adding greenery. Two little heads popped up.

17:37* Teatime, Mr G visits. Two oldest chicks got lions share, wee one got nothing at this feed. 17:48 Mrs G flew off to finish the prey.

17.51* Mr. G managed to get time (1min) with chicks, he looked at them and from his behaviour it looked like he wanted to do a spot of brooding. 17.52 Mrs G back and brooding.

19:38* Mr G arrives with food and departs. Mrs G starts to feed chicks, they all clamber to the extreme left of nest to get at the food. Eventually out of camera view.

19:50* With feeding over, Mrs G tidies the nest bowl and appears unconcerned about the chicks. With the camera zoomed in, it does not show the entire nest bowl. It is however difficult to tell exactly where the chicks are.

19:59* Mrs G appears to be attending to the chicks, who are to the extreme left of the nest. After a couple of minutes she settles down, the chicks can still be heard.

20:03* At least one chick can be seen underneath mum as she settles down in the centre of the nest bowl.

20:05* Another chick returns to the nest centre.

20:14* Mr G visits, picks up what we believe is the bird (prey) that was brought in at 15:22, he puts it down again

20:54* Mrs G retrieves some food from the nest edge and feeds herself. She flies off. She returns at 21:00 to settle down for the night, there are at least two chicks beneath her.

VIDEO ON DEMAND (VOD)

The Video Player above should now work on the following browsers:
Internet Explorer / Firefox / Google Chrome / Safari / Opera

How to use this player:
If the video does not start automatically, press "Play
", the earliest time available will start immediately. Using the other controls, you can then navigate forwards and backwards. The player above should have the following controls:

Navigation Slider - Play/Pause - Stop - Previous - Rewind - Fast Forward - Next.

Operation and control is exactly like a domestic video recorder or DVD player. Use your computer mouse to operate the buttons or drag the Navigation Slider.
Below the player is an indication of the current position and length of each video file: For example 00:00 / 10:23:13 = 10hours 23mins long. The "Next " button will therefore move you 10 hours 23 minutes forward to the next available period.

The time display is actual time (BST). Therefore
10:23:13 = 10.23am.

If the screen appears blank or black, it may be night. There is no artificial lighting on the nest so navigate to daylight hours.

Please note, The control layout may differ depending on your computer's version of "Windows Media Player", visit Microsoft Windows Media for the latest player information.

Apple Mac Computers may require Flip4Mac.
