1975 - Frank Hennig (Roving
Reporter) |
 |
Remember him?
It's Frank Hennig in 1975 reporting on the blight of graffiti.
He just happened to find a couple of relevant pieces of mindless
vandalism to highlight the problem...mmm?
Frank was well known for his humour. There was always room
for a little friendly banter between him & Bruce Parker.
Michael Buerk & Kate Adie both worked at BBC South during the 1970's.
BBC South & Radio Solent were still based at South Western House. News reports were gathered on
16mm film & had to be
delivered to the studio for processing and editing some time
before the evening bulletin.
In 1975, mainstream programmes would have included: The Goodies, The
Liver Birds, Apollo-Soyuz Link-up, Mike Yarwood & Poldark.
The last transmission from South Western House was in September 1991.
