Since the series of film evenings around the New Forest started in 2007, Manuel has clocked up a huge number of miles travelling around Great Britain and abroad to capture wildlife in situ. These film evenings give the audience a chance to watch 6 short films, each is approximately 10 minutes in length, with the bonus of asking the man who filmed them everything they have wondered at when viewing at home on their sofas.
Questions in previous years have ranged from
  • "Why do you have to put music in?"
  • "How did you manage to film that?"
  • "How do you know where the animals will be?"
  • "Are the animals stuffed?"
Manuel has been involved in the New Forest RSPB "A Date With Nature" over the last three years. He was one of the characters instrumental in the setting up of cameras on the nests of a Hobby and a Goshawk in the New Forest.
The live video was beamed to the Reptillary site near Lyndhurst and the highlights can still be seen on the web Here.
It’s a popular evening and the venues were packed last year, it was standing room only in some of them.
Buy tickets prior to the evening to avoid disappointment.
