We have just moved to the New Forest from Kent. It is fantastic being able to walk unrestricted accross miles of heath (apart from the distant traffic). In general all we meet are really friendly. Kent is now full of London white collars with no interest in the local community. How refreshing to find a Flee Market at Minstead (seriously). And the fish and chip shop in Lyndhurst is excellent.

New Forest Gateway is an excellent way of getting to know the area.
