I understand the Marsh Gentian can be found in the New Forest. How common is it? Can other gentian species also be found in the forest? Jackog
2 years ago I was was walking in an area called "Soldier's Bog", just south of Bratley Wood. I saw and photographed (with a low quality phone camera) some lovely dainty blue flowers. they turned out to be Marsh Gentian. I have not seen them there this year and don't know of any other places.
