Once the storm had passed this afternoon decided to clear up some leaves round the garden.

This also lead to removing plants from the wildflower border.

much to our surprise quite a few were still throwing blooms ie scabious,tagetes,wild larkspur,nigella and cornflower.

Ok not august type flowering but did not have the heart to uproot them, they have managed to flower through a couple of frost plus monsoon style weather. Any one else got anything still trying to bloom? stan

I'm not very good on plants, but did spot swallows last week. See my reply to your Early/Late posting. It's quite interesting and a bit worrying.
