The Hursely fox hunt sets off from Winchester on their New Year meet. Full title reads: "Hampshire. Where Once King Alfred Reigned. Hursely Foxhounds first meet of the New Year always in Centre of Winchester, whose every stick and stone is 'saturated' with history." Winchester, Hampshire. A crowd gathers in the street to watch the start of the Hursely fox hunt. Hunters and their horses are gathered below the statue of King Alfred. The traditional drinks (stirrup cup) are brought out to the huntsmen. Shots of the huntsmen and women drinking. Shots of the hunt, now with their foxhounds, setting off through the City walls.
