A new steam train is named 'Channel Packet'. Unused / unissued material - location and dates unclear or unknown. MS soldiers stand to attention as dignitaries get off train. MS unidentified dignitary is greeted. He makes a speech and unveils the name of a small steam locomotive of the Navy Class 'Channel Packet' for the Southern Railway. He puts on a cap and jacket and climbs up to the footplate. Various shots of train and guest being shown how to drive it
